The Autism Society of Alabama (ASA) responds daily to requests for information. Their toll-free Information and Referral Line is 1-877-4AUTISM. They maintain a resource list of services that have been recommended by families and professionals. Additionally families may call to access written information on a variety of topics. Parent Support
ASA has support groups to address a variety of issues. Monthly meetings in a variety of settings throughout the state provide support and information, guest speakers, informative topics and question and answer sessions.  Click here to locate a Networking Group in your area. 
Library Resources
The ASA provides all 67 counties in Alabama with autism-related books and media for their public library system. Please feel free to add to these community collections if you have autism resource materials that could benefit other families, caregivers, and/or professionals. Contact your local library for autism related resources.

Education and Awareness
ASA collaborates with various state and local agencies to increase awareness in the community, schools, and in the medical and professional arenas to promote education, understanding, resources, and to encourage the early diagnosis of autism. ASA maintains a website that provides up to date information and provides direct links to other important informational sites. Their website also acts as a source of support for families and parents of individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
